Rug care · London & Wembley
Rug washing & carpet cleaning in London.
Our washing service is for loose rugs and Oriental carpets. Speak to Ramezani's Wembley showroom about your piece, its condition and the care it needs. Founded in 1955, Ramezani brings its experience with Oriental carpets to the conversation about looking after a rug you already own.
From dust removal to washing
We begin by removing dust from the rug. This is followed by soaking and washing, using detergents suited to the piece and paying particular attention to colours that may run. Rugs are usually washed two or three times as needed to help remove accumulated dirt and moth larvae.
Every enquiry starts with the rug itself. Let us know about stains, worn areas and any signs of moth activity. These details help us discuss the cleaning and any separate repair concerns with you, rather than relying on size alone.

Common questions about rug washing
How is the washing price calculated?
Length in metres multiplied by width gives the area in square metres. Use the published price range for an indication, then ask us to quote for your rug. Collection and delivery are additional.
What does the washing process involve?
Dust removal comes first, followed by soaking and washing with suitable detergents. Rugs are usually washed two or three times, according to the piece and its condition.
How do you take care with colours?
We select detergents appropriate to the rug and pay attention to colours that may run. Tell us about any previous colour bleeding or treatments when you enquire.
How long will washing take?
Agree the timing with our team when requesting a quotation. Tell us if you need the rug back for a particular date so we can discuss your requirements before work is arranged.
Can you collect and deliver my rug?
Collection and delivery carry an additional charge. Send your postcode and rug dimensions so the team can confirm arrangements and quote for the transport you need.
