The founder
Nasser Ramezani
Nasser Ramezani founded the house in 1955. More than 71 years later, the business is still run by his family, with the collection kept under one roof in Wembley.
The showroom keeps choosing a rug practical and personal. Pieces can be unrolled, seen at full size and walked on before a decision is made. If you call ahead with the rug numbers, the family will have those pieces ready for you.

That direct approach continues in the advice the house gives today: help with a selection, photographs for review, bespoke orders, and guidance on cleaning, repairing and valuations.
History
A supplier to the trade.
The house began as Ramezani Oriental Carpets in 1955. By its own account it has supplied wholesalers, department stores and specialist Oriental rug shops around the world.
In October 2016 the rug magazine HALI recalled an earlier period when Nasser Ramezani worked with fifteen agents who sourced pieces directly from villages and bazaars in Persia.
HALI’s report previewed a private-collection exhibition planned for 19 to 28 October 2016 at 38 Fourth Way, Wembley. The announced pieces included a Khamseh rug with a murgh (bird) design, a signed Amoghli piece and a Tabriz showing the four seasons.
