Choosing a Persian rug
- Start with origin as well as design. This collection includes rugs recorded as originating in Persia and Persian-inspired designs with other recorded origins. Read the origin on each rug page; if it is missing, ask us before choosing.
- Compare the rug's recorded dimensions with your seating area or dining table, allowing room for chairs and door openings. A photograph can help you compare patterns, but the recorded measurements are the guide to fit.
- Look at the whole rug and its close-up photographs together. A central medallion can give a room a focal point; an all-over design may work well where furniture covers part of the rug.
